United St Saviour’s Charity is going through an exciting time of change. We are currently preparing to open our brand-new almshouse, Appleby Blue, in Southwark Park Road and are looking to recruit a dynamic team to work in this building.

We are looking for 3 new trustees who will help us meet our ambition for a united, thriving and equal Southwark.   Ideally with a link to Southwark, we’re keen to find people who can bring a mix of perspectives and understanding.

How would you benefit your community?
Victoria is using her time on the #OneSouthwark programme to develop a project that will educate local communities about the importance of health care and disease prevention.

Recently one of our programme members Zoe was reflecting on how challenging she always found starting a new educational year and those feelings of anxiety and stress followed her from secondary school to University. Zoe wanted to support other young people who could be feeling the same, so decided to write an article sharing her top 5 tips on dealing with the stresses of a new academic year and new beginnings in general.

The theme of this year’s Black History Month is ‘Time for change: Action Not Words’ and at United St Saviour’s we are taking this seriously.
