United St Saviour’s Charity is going through an exciting time of change. In preparation for the opening of our new almshouse in Southwark Park Road, we are looking to recruit a new manager to look after our existing homes and residents in Purley and Bankside.

The role of Resident Support Manager (Purley and Hoptons)  will support the Head of Housing to develop and manage services that will continually improve the lives and wellbeing of the residents in our almshouses. As line manager for two Resident Support Officers, the role holder will work with residents, staff, contractors and community partners to ensure the effective management of the homes, activities and programmes of support.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with older people, with a passion for helping residents to achieve the best possible outcomes in later life. They will be highly person-centred with an ability to show empathy, a calmness when working under pressure and the aptitude to manage a small team.

Preferably with some previous experience of managing staff, we are looking for a self-starter who has the potential and right attitude to assume management responsibility for two almshouses.  We will provide support and training and help the right person develop into the role.

The role will be based primarily in Purley, CR8 4ER but the post holder will need to spend around 2 days a week in London, SE1, for which travel expenses will be payable by the Charity.

The closing date for all applications is 24th February 2023
