As we explore the social impact and benefits of our almshouse provision, we aim to use evidence-based research findings to inform our practices and ensure that the models of support we are putting in place for residents has positive outcomes. As a grant maker to community organisations working with older people in Southwark, our research activities also enable us to make an impact on community dwelling older people.
We are well positioned to not only partner with universities around housing and age-related fields, but also with innovators and social enterprises in the research and development of accessible and affordable services, products and technology which enable older people to life the lives they choose.
We share our learnings with our partners and local organisations and widely with others in the housing and ageing sectors.
