United St Saviour’s Charity (USTSC) has launched its Community Investment Strategy 2025–2030, setting out an ambitious plan to build a stronger, fairer and more connected Southwark. Rooted in the principles of equity, empowerment and prevention, the strategy ensures community organisations of all sizes can thrive and tackle inequity across the borough. 

United St Saviour’s Charity is seeking a skilled, people-focused Community Centre Manager to lead the shared spaces at Appleby Blue Almshouse — our RIBA Stirling Prize-winning model of later-living in Bermondsey. 

On Friday 10th October 2025, United St Saviour’s Charity had the immense honour of welcoming His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester to to Appleby Blue, a landmark moment in our long history of supporting older people in Southwark.

Join us at Appleby Blue for our first session of United Thinking: Appleby Blue Autumn Sessions. The first session, delivered in collaboration with Community Southwark, is 'How to Influence - Relationships and Partnership Working'.

Dr Ben Johnson is appointed Chair of Trustees at United St Saviour’s Charity, bringing over 20 years of public health and community leadership, and deep local knowledge as a long-term Southwark resident.

At United St Saviour’s Charity, June was an exciting month, filled with fun, festivity, inclusivity, and connection, as we celebrated our first Pride Month since launching the Rainbow Club and signing the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge earlier this year.
