United St Saviour’s Charity is excited to announce the launch of two grant programmes, opening today!

We will welcome applications from those who are working in Southwark that are focused on the following themes:

  • Strong, resilient communities: connecting, enabling, and strengthening communities within the borough of Southwark
  • Positive ageing: reducing isolation and increasing wellbeing amongst older residents within the borough of Southwark
  • Levelling the playing field: targeted and life-changing support for population groups disproportionately experiencing social and economic disadvantage within the borough of Southwark

Large Grants Programme – requests above £3,000

The large grants programme is open for application twice a year and we have a two-stage application process. The first stage is the expression of interest with the closing deadline on 3rd October at 5pm. If you are successful at this stage, you will be asked to complete a more detailed application, and a more in-depth organisational assessment will be carried out. Grants will start from April 2023.

We will consider proposals for:

  • unrestricted/core grants – normally from organisations that we have previously funded; or
  • specific initiatives / projects or services.

Small Grants Programme – requests of up to £3,000

This will be the second round of grants for projects, activities and events taking place over the Christmas and the winter period. The deadline for submission will be on 21st October at 5pm.

We will aim to let you know the outcome of your application in early November, and delivery can start once the grants have been accepted by your organisation.
