Our original almshouses were located on Park Street, SE1, which is now the site for our commercial properties. These original almshouses were re-located to West Norwood due to the building of the railways running behind Park St. At the start of the 21st Century the West Norwood site was sold for re-development and the charity built the new almshouse in Purley. At this time a number of residents from West Norwood were relocated to the brand new almshouse
United St Saviour’s Charity obtained the Hopton’s Gardens Almshouses from Anchor Housing in 2011.
Appleby Blue was opened in July 2023.
