The Resident Support Manager (Appleby Blue) will support the Head of Housing to develop and manage services that will continually improve the lives and wellbeing of the 57 new residents in this block. As line manager for two Resident Support Officers, the role holder will oversee a major programme to move and re-settle residents in their new homes, ensuring they are fully supported to live and thrive in this exciting setting. They will play a key role in the management of this building, working with the Centre Manager and other charity staff to ensure that residents are fully supported and engaged to enjoy everything that Appleby Blue has to offer.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with older people, with a passion for helping residents to achieve the best possible outcomes in later life. They will be highly person-centred with an ability to show empathy, a calmness when working under pressure and the aptitude to manage a small team.

Preferably with some previous experience of managing staff, we are looking for a self-starter who has the potential and right attitude to co-ordinate a high-quality resident support service, underpinning the fundamental ethos of the charity which supports older people in leading happy, healthy, independent lives.
