United St Saviour’s starts the new year with Alison Benzimra joining us as Head of Research and Influence. Alison was previously the manager of the Whiteley Foundation for Ageing Well. Alison managed a variety of research projects and has experience of working closely with academic partners and almshouse residents and staff.
Alison has extensive experience in the ageing research sector. She is a proactive contributor to the British Society of Gerontology’s activities and her impressive network and knowledge of the issues of relating to ageing, community and housing will be an asset to us as we embark on strengthening and expanding our research capacity. In addition to supporting our Housing team, Alison will work closely with our Community Investment team to ensure the research and influence component is woven into the fabric of the One Southwark programme.
