We are thrilled to announce that United St. Saviour’s Charity has successfully taken over Helen Peele, marking a significant milestone in our mission to provide quality, affordable housing for older people in Southwark.

This new chapter strengthens our ongoing commitment to support our local community but also expands our capacity to provide safe, welcoming homes for those who need them most. With an increasing demand for housing for older adults, we are proud to play a key role in ensuring that older people in Southwark have access to affordable, comfortable living spaces.

At United St. Saviour’s Charity, we remain dedicated to enriching the lives of older people and fostering a sense of community, security, and well-being. We believe that everyone deserves a place to call home, and we will continue to work tirelessly towards a future where affordable housing is within reach for all.

We must thank the outgoing trustees of Helen Peele Almshouses, Particularly Simon McKeown who put in 30 years service to their Board and the people of Rotherhithe.
Their last Chair Rebecca Canning, will be joining the United St Saviour’s Board to help a smooth transition.
Thank you Trust Partnership for helping hand it over, and our lawyers at Shakespeare Martineau for their hard work and support.
Finally, thank you to the almshouse residents for being so welcoming.
Here’s to the future and to many more positive changes in Southwark!
