The Pride in Care quality standard is awarded by Opening Doors to all UK organisations assessed as providing quality care and support to older lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people. This registered quality mark is an externally verified seal of approval which demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to proactively engaging with LGBT+ people and specifically considering their needs in the development of services.

Staff at United St Saviour’s Charity were delighted to attend some introductory training last week as a first step to attaining the full Pride in Care standard. The Pride in Care quality standard is endorsed by Care England and promoted by Skills for Care.

We are looking forward to developing excellent services in our almshouses which will demonstrate our on-going commitment to older LGBTQ+ people with a view to getting fully accredited later in 2022.
