United St Saviour's Charity has supported the residents of Southwark since 1540. Today, we fund a broad range of community charities and provide sheltered accommodation for local retirees.

About us

Founded in 1541, United St Saviour’s combines its rich heritage with an innovative and forward-thinking outlook. We own and manage a modern almshouse in Surrey, and an eighteenth century almshouse in Southwark, that provides independent living and an active social life for Southwark’s older people. Our exciting grants programmes invest £800,000 in north Southwark’s community each year and are focused on improving lives and building community. Our housing and our grants are funded through careful management of investments and property worth nearly £35 million.
