School Food Matters teaches children about food and improves access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. They deliver food enterprise programmes to schools so that children can learn the vital life skills of cooking and food growing.

We have awarded School Food Matters with two years of funding for their Welcome Programme, which consists of fortnightly therapeutic gardening workshops for asylum-seeking or refugee children, helping them to overcome language barriers, make friends, and providing them a connection to their home countries while feeling that they are putting down roots in England.
