There was a warm welcome in store for Ruby Russell when she moved into her new home at St Saviour’s Court in Purley last week. Ruby, a retired nurse, came originally to the UK from Jamaica and lived in a number of different places in South London close to the hospitals she worked in. Having lived with friends for a number of years, Ruby was delighted to finally be offered a place to call her own.
When she first viewed her first floor, one bedroom retirement flat, Ruby couldn’t believe her eyes. United St Saviour’s provide beautifully decorated homes, new carpets and white goods to all their new residents. Ruby said, “I am overjoyed to have been offered this place. I have finally got a comfortable home of my own where I intend to stay forever.”
