United St Saviour’s has been working with Latin Elephant for two years, funding them to support migrant businesses affected by the redevelopment of the Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre. This report is the result of an exciting collaboration with the London School of Economics, and explores the social and economic value of small traders. Too many such businesses are losing out as a result of increasing land values and large scale regeneration schemes, and the findings of this report deserve consideration by policy makers across the capital.
