The charity is excited to welcome Dwight Pile-Gray as our newest Board member starting in September 2020.  Dwight has been a co-opted member of our Community Investment Committee since early 2020 and has brought important insight to our thinking, particularly as someone who lives in the southern part of Southwark, where our focus has recently been extended.

After a successful first career as an IT consultant, Dwight is now a professional musician, driven by diversity in music in particular. He is a performer, conductor and academic.  Dwight has also travelled the UK and globe with his French horn as an active member of the Armed Forces in the Band of the Grenadier Guards.

Dwight joins the charity during an extremely challenging but exciting time. The charity has been forced quickly to adapt our way of working during the Covid19 pandemic, but we are thrilled that our new almshouse in Bermondsey is now being built for opening in late 2021.  Dwight’s passion for Southwark and knowledge of our communities will be incredibly useful in the years to come.
