Become a resident

To become an almshouse resident at Appleby Blue, St Saviour’s Court or Hopton’s, you must have lived in Southwark for three years prior to the application, be 65 years of age or over, and on a limited income with low capital and savings. You should be able to live independently with support from carers if necessary. Our weekly maintenance charges are based on affordable rent costs and in many cases will be covered by housing benefit.
